Your AvantLink affiliate product catalog, always current
The Product Feed page generates a formatted product catalog URL for submission to AvantLink. Your entire Shopify product catalog - titles, prices, images, variants, and availability - is formatted to AvantLink's feed specifications and served from a single URL that's always up to date.
What is an affiliate product feed?
An affiliate product feed is a structured data file that contains your full product catalog, formatted so affiliate networks and publishers can pull product-level data automatically. AvantLink uses your feed to populate product comparison widgets, shopping portals, and product-specific affiliate links across their publisher network. Without a current, complete feed, aggregator affiliates can't effectively promote your products.
OptimizeAffiliate generates this feed automatically from your live Shopify catalog - no CSV exports, no manual uploads, no third-party feed tools.
Feed URL
The feed is served from a unique URL tied to your Shopify store. Copy it from the Product Feed page and submit it to AvantLink. AvantLink will crawl the URL on their standard schedule (typically every 24-48 hours) to keep their catalog current.
The URL is always live - there's no need to re-submit every time you add or update products. AvantLink fetches the latest version on each crawl.
What's included in the feed
| Field | What it means |
|---|---|
| Product Title | Full product title as it appears in Shopify. |
| Description | Product description, stripped of HTML. |
| Price | Current selling price. For products on sale, includes both the sale price and the compare-at price. |
| Product URL | The canonical product page URL on your Shopify storefront. |
| Image URL | Primary product image URL. |
| SKU / Variant ID | Shopify variant identifiers for variant-level affiliate linking. |
| Availability | In Stock or Out of Stock based on current Shopify inventory. |
| Category | Product type as set in Shopify. |
What's excluded from the feed
The following products are automatically excluded to keep the feed clean and prevent affiliates from promoting non-purchasable items:
Archived products - removed from Shopify but not deleted. Draft products - not yet published. Out of stock with continue-selling disabled - products where purchases would fail at checkout. This exclusion also triggers a Store Health alert (see the Store Health docs) so you're aware of the inventory gap before affiliates notice it.
Feed status and last updated
The Product Feed page shows the timestamp of the last successful feed generation and the total product count included. This updates automatically whenever you trigger a manual sync from the Dashboard or when the scheduled sync runs.
Marking as submitted
After you submit your feed URL to AvantLink, click Mark as Submitted in OptimizeAffiliate. This records the submission date and the feed URL at the time of submission. It's a simple tracking mechanism - useful if you're onboarding the program later and need to know when the feed was originally connected.
Submission steps (one-time setup)
1. Open the Product Feed page in OptimizeAffiliate and copy your feed URL. 2. Log into your AvantLink merchant account at avantlink.com. 3. Navigate to Program Tools → Data Feed. 4. Paste the feed URL and save. 5. Return to OptimizeAffiliate and click Mark as Submitted. AvantLink will begin crawling your feed within 24-48 hours.
Frequently asked questions
How do I submit my Shopify product feed to AvantLink?
OptimizeAffiliate generates a product feed URL formatted to AvantLink's specifications. Copy the feed URL from the Product Feed page in your app, then log into your AvantLink merchant account, navigate to Program Tools → Product Feed, and paste the URL. AvantLink will crawl your feed on their schedule (typically every 24-48 hours). Once submitted, click 'Mark as Submitted' in OptimizeAffiliate so you have a record of when the feed was submitted and from which URL.
What product data does OptimizeAffiliate include in the affiliate product feed?
The feed includes all published Shopify products: title, description, price, compare-at price (for sale items), product URL, image URL, SKU, variant details, and availability status. Products that are archived, out of stock with 'continue selling' disabled, or set to draft are excluded. The feed is always current - it reflects your live Shopify catalog at the time AvantLink crawls it.
Does OptimizeAffiliate support product feeds for Impact as well as AvantLink?
The current Product Feed feature generates a feed optimized for AvantLink's format. Impact uses a different catalog format (typically a Google Merchant Center feed or Impact's own catalog import). If you need an Impact-compatible feed, contact support@optimizeaffiliate.com - Impact catalog support is on the roadmap.
